Editing and Transitions

Editing is one of the key elements in making a film. It helps merging the videos and sound together so that the movie looks meaningful. It helps people connect to it emotionally as they know what is exactly going on. It sorts the videos in sequence so that the scenes are inter connected and make sense. Editing also helps to cut unnecessary scenes.

With the help of editing the duration of the transitions or time the credits will appear on the screen can be controlled. Transitions like cross dissolve are used to create and impact and prevent the movie looking abrupt.

A shot cannot always perfect. Through editing we can make these shots better to an extent. It helps in covering up the flawed scenes like if the shot is too dark but we still want to make the actions of the actor we would probably increase the brightness of the shot or if the shot is too shaky we can always add a stabilizer. Moreover editing is a blessing to very film as it can be made better with the help of it and then serve it as a final product to the audience.
