Props hold a lot of importance in a film. They are used on screen or in plays to enhance the overall performance of the actor.
They add the splendour and magnetism to films. It maintains the authenticity of the scene and helps the character play their role more adequately.
The type of prop used also helps the audience to understand the time, decade and place the narrative is set in. So if you see the main character using a phone that is very advanced you know that it is the modern or post industrial world they are potraying.
Sometimes the prop also seem to become famous off screen and defines the character. Like mostly all props used in the harry potter series seem to have caught the eyes of people all around the world.
The props i made use of for my opening sequence are:
Nebulizer- For the hospital scene
Knife- Used when aarya enters the room
Leather jacket- the father gets it in a bag
School bag- when aarya returns from school
Pendant- worn by aarya throughout the OS
