opening sequence- Daddy's little girl

Film name: daddy’s little girl
Genre: drama
Purpose: to convey a message
Target audience: 12-20 (teenagers). This age is more likely to relate with this topic and will create awareness amongst them.

Why this ?
It’s a common issue amongst teenagers. It should be brought to their notice to respect their parents and value everything they do for them. Since this topic will be relatable to a lot of them it will absorb into their minds quicker.

Plot:
The plot revolves around an ungrateful teenage girl who comes from not a very well to do family. Her mother is no more and lives with her father who works very hard to provide her with all the needs and requirements. She doesn’t respect her father, doesn’t value his hard work. She spends all the money that her father gives her into unecessary luxuries without thinking about the consequences. One day she has a verbal fight with her father on a very petty topic and barges out of the house. Later she gets the news that her father has met with an accident and she is very regretful.

Research:
I’ve seen multiple videos about this topic on various social networking sites. A Bollywood film “Neel batey sanaata” relates to this topic very well too. I have also chosen this topic due to my personal experience (my friends and cousins behaviours towards their families)

Production schedule:
I have yet to hire actors for my opening sequence. It’s going to take a week or so to film the entire opening sequence until we submit it.

Location/ lighting:
It’s mainly going to be shot outdoors or at places I’m well versed with. We are going to be shooting In a house which is not very big and also at the streets for a scene. It’s going to be shot in broad daylight and also indoors. The colour blue which shows sorrow and conflict is going to act as a filter for the whole opening sequence. It will enhance the dull, unbothered expressions of the girl.

Costume/ makeup :
The costumes are going to be very mediocre and simple since we are showing them from not a very well to do family. As for the makeup not much of will be shown as we are opting for a natural look.

Sound:
There are going to scenes with a soft, sad tuned piano playing in the background when the father is heart broken and also tunes of horror when he meets an accident.

Equipment:
Dslr for videography
Recorder
Lights
Laptops
Reflectors
