CASTING
Casting is the most important element in film making. It is important that you cast actors very carefully as they are going to be the ones that will help reach the message or story that they are trying to potray to the audience. This is done through the expressions, emotions and body language of the actors.
I had sent across a word in the foyer about the audition for my opening sequence. I told the the people who came for auditions to read out a paragraph with emotions and appropriate expressions. Finally i narrowed down to the two best for Aarya's role.
Janhavi Chettija was the first one to audition. Her maturity and voice modulation was something that made me want to keep her as an option for my OS.
Khushi Bhuta was another participant that i thought was worthy of being selected as her facial expressions were on point and her acting skills were also quiet good.
In the end i decided to cast Khushi Bhuta as the lead female as i've seen her act several times in our school theatre and in in house short films.
